Donald Taylor, 56, from Havre De Grace, Maryland, was driving a Nissan Rogue south on Woodbine Road, just north of McCall Road— when he swerved for an unknown reason— crossing over the double solid lines, into the northbound lane and striking a Dodge Caravan head-on, according to the York County Coroner's Office and Pennsylvania State Police.
State police troopers were called to the crash in the 6000 block of Woodbine Road, Peach Bottom Township at 2:38 p.m.
Taylor was pronounced dead at the scene at 3:46 p.m., by Deputy Coroner Carissa McLyman.
His cause of death was multiple blunt force injuries and the manner was ruled accidental, according to the coroner's report.
The Caravan driver suffered non-life-threatening injuries while their passenger, a seven-month-old infant, was taken to York Hospital and evaluated but found to be unharmed.
The roadway reopened around 8 p.m. according to Trooper James Grothey.
This is the second deadly crash on Woodbine Road in Peach Bottom Township this year, as a fatal dump truck crash happened on March 7, 2022. You can read more about that crash here.
